| 26 November 2009 | Venue bidding closes | Bidding closes 1200 (midday) GMT |
| 28 November 2009 | Venue selection opens | Refer to WordCamp UK mailing list (registration required) - bids for Manchester and Portsmouth currently being considered. |
| 5 December 2009 | Venue selection closes | Decision to reached by 2359 GMT |
| 6 December 2009 | Venue winner announced | Bookings and other arrangements made by winning bidders |
| 7 December 2009 | Tickets phase 1 | Sales to WordCamp UK 2009 attendees and WordCamp UK mailing list members |
| 19 December 2009 | Sponsorship phase 1 | Sponsorship pack finalised and previous sponsors contacted |
