This is the page for posting WordPress competition ideas.
Contents
Themes
Individuals or teams devise GPL WordPress themes for the event. One of the sessions can be the team/individuals presenting their themes, and attendees could make (constructive!) comments.
After a ballot of attendees award a prize to the best theme.
Non-attendees based in the UK could enter by deadline but obviously they have no presentation.
Plugins
Individuals or teams devise GPL WordPress plugins for the event. One of the sessions can be the team/individuals presenting their plugins, and attendees could make (constructive!) comments.
After a ballot of attendees award a prize to the best plugin.
Non-attendees based in the UK could enter by deadline but obviously they have no presentation.
Some potential plugin categories:
- favourite plugin i already have installed
- plugin i predict will become a favourite the moment I install it and
- I don't know how i've survived without it
- favourite plugins released at the camp

Half Baked
Would be happy to co-ordinate a session of Half-Baked in the evening, a sort of cross between Dragons Den, The Apprentice and Improvised Comedy, where teams take up the challenge of creating a 'mythical' start-up company and pitching it to a panel of VC's, industry watchers, and the audience. Should take about an hour, and is immense fun. -- Ewan Spence
